The ECREA 2024 conference took place at the University of Ljubljana from 24 to 27 September, under the topic “Communication & social (dis)order”.

On September 25, Nico Carpentier from Charles University attended as a panelist the session “IAMCR@ECREA – The future of communication: New and old actors” to present the paper entitled “Imaginings of the Future of Conflict and Communication Technologies: A Map of Six Anxiety- and Hope-Driven Scenarios”, co-authored with Andrea Miconi from IULM.

The article is part of the EUMEPLAT Special Issue “The Construction of the Future of Platforms”, published by the Central European Journal of Communication.

The Special Issue was also celebrated during the “ICSJ journals issues launch party“, that was also organised in the framework of the ECREA conference.
