From 3rd to 5th October, the EUMEPLAT partners gathered in Sofia, hosted in the New Bulgarian University premises, for the third Mid-Term meeting.

Dimitar Trendafilov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs at the New Bulgarian University, opened the works and welcomed the project partners in Sofia.

After that, three external speakers delivered presentations of their experience in the media sector in Bulgaria: Velislava Popova, Editor-in-Chief at Dnevnik daily, talked about the platformization of the newspapers; Val Kaludov, Editor-in-Chief at Vbox7, focused on the video sharing platforms; Blagoslav Mihaylov, Manager, presented the creation and functioning of the Bulgarian platform STRAJ to monitor the parliamentary activities.

In the afternoon, the partners started the internal discussion around WP1 (Europeanisation: Lessons from Media History) with an update on the publication of a book, WP2 (Fake News: Platformization of Journalism) and WP8 (Management).

The second day was devoted to WP3 (Hegemony: Platformization of Video) and WP4 (Exclusion: Platformization of Media Representation).

At the end of the day, Charles University organised a new edition of the Delphi+ workshop.

During the last day, the project partners worked on WP5 (Power: People and Platform) and WP6 (Dissemination and Communication).
