New Bulgarian University, Sofia

22nd-24th June 2023

In the framework of the international Summer School “25 years of Public Relations Summer School – what’s ahead?”, the New Bulgarian University is organising a dissemination conference of the EUMEPLAT project, along with a new edition of the Delphi+ workshop.

The PR Summer School is a NBU traditional initiative which leads to visible results in the field of public communications. It brings together university researchers and teachers, representatives of practice, branch organizations and students. It includes the participation of researchers from various fields such as public communications, political science, art studies, economics, fine arts, etc., related to the practice and frontier studies of PR.

The Summer School sessions include lectures, papers, academic presentations and scientific announcements by speakers and teachers with proven experience in PR, media and communications.

Students have the opportunity to participate in forums with experts, representatives of business and higher education. The benefits of this type of theoretical discussion on current social topics in the field of public communications lead to the acquisition of practical skills, which are a significant factor for future successful professional realization.

Papers and scientific communications will be published in a peer-reviewed journal.

The International PR Summer School has five main thematic areas:

  • History and theory of PR
  • Digitization of communication
  • Manipulation, fake news and other negative practices and how to overcome them
  • Special events
  • Public affairs and civic communication

Official partners of the Summer School are the Bulgarian Society for Public Relations, Bulgarian Association of PR Agencies and Association of Communication Specialists in Municipalities.
More than 50 people from Bulgarian and European universities, from the public and private sectors will participate in the Summer School.

The second special premiere of the documentary film “16th Republic. The Betrayal of the BKP” will also be presented within the School. The film was made with the support of the Central Fund for Strategic Development of the NBU.
